Underground oil tank, propane tank, and septic tank installation and removal across Hampshire and Hampden counties. RJL handles the excavation side so the job gets done in one call.
What we do
Tank installations and removals involve excavation, coordination with your fuel or plumbing contractor, and in some cases the fire department, the town, or MassDEP. RJL handles the dig so the job doesn't stall waiting for a machine and an operator who knows what they're doing.
We remove old buried oil tanks that failed their tightness test, install new propane tanks for conversions, remove and replace aging septic tanks, and do the excavation work that your fuel company or plumber can't do themselves. One call gets the dirt work moving.
Our process
We review the tank location, size, depth, and access constraints with you. For buried oil tanks, we coordinate with your fuel company on decommissioning. For septic tanks, we work alongside your system engineer or inspector.
We open the excavation carefully, expose the tank fully, and work around any utilities in the area. For buried oil tanks, any sign of contamination stops the job and the right professionals get called in. We don't guess.
We lift out the old tank and coordinate disposal with a licensed hauler, or we set the new tank in the excavation to the depth and orientation your contractor requires. We stay on site through the placement.
We backfill the excavation, compact, and restore the disturbed surface. The hole closes the same day in most cases. We leave the site clean.
